New Zealand Native Birds [& other wildlife]
They may not be as varied or as colourful as their cousins in the tropical rainforests, but we think New Zealand birds are still pretty cool and include some colourful characters like the Kea, Weka, Fantail and Tui. What some birds may lack in colour they certainly make up for it with song - the clear âbell likeâ call of the Bellbird adds extra joy to our time photographing in the NZ bush. Some native birds we are lucky to see in our garden, others need a little more searching out in the wilderness areas of New Zealand. Photographing NZ Birds is a growing passion for Heather and I am sure we will be adding to our collection of bird images in the near future.
